It connects to ftp.ipswitch.com to allow you to download the current version of WS_FTP Pro.Problem: Can Only Connect Using IP AddressIf WS_FTP Pro can only connect to sites using the site IP address (for example, 123.123.123.123) and not the host name, you need to configure the DNS (Domain Name Server) in your stack. Talk to your network administrator or your Internet provider for the proper values for DNS.Problem: Connection ClosesIn addition to the network timeout setting within WS_FTP Pro, there is also a server timeout that is determined by the FTP site. Most FTP sites will shut down the connection to a client such as WS_FTP Pro after a few minutes of inactivity. You can change this setting only on the FTP site, not from WS_FTP Pro.
